The campus COPE Center is a place where students go to deal with everyday stress of school or personal problems.

The center has been an asset to Rust College, under the leadership of Dr. Juanita Seals-Jones, director of first year experience, the center has undergone new changes.

The stress free zone room is filled with tension release equipment like a massage chair, audio therapy, a punching bag, couch, etc. The center provides three programs to students that include counseling, academic improvements, and career development.

The counseling program lets students talk and vent their problems to people who care and qualified to provide the help such students need. It has available eight peer advisors to advice and comfort students who come for help.

The Hope program is designed to help students to improve low grade point averages to a desirable level, while the career development program helps students find part-time jobs in the community to support financial obligations while they attend classes.
